Recruiting customs brokers
Collaboration for Customs Brokers
We are looking for Licensed Customs Brokers to grow their offices together with Ubis, which has a work automation system, a network of clients and partners, and in-house manuals for each field.
Brokers we work with
We consult with you regardless of experience or age. Roles, revenue sharing, and equity are set after an interview to suit your situation.
- 01
Brokers preparing to open an office
Experienced or new- Challenge
- When you open an office, you need premises, a declaration program, administrative staff, and settlement forms before you have any clients.
- With Ubis
- You start with a work automation system and in-house manuals already in place. You can open as a member of a joint office, or build practical experience as a Licensed Customs Broker employed by Ubis and then become independent.
- 02
Brokers with a heavy office operating burden
Revenue and labor costs- Challenge
- When declaration volume falls or administrative labor costs rise, the Licensed Customs Broker ends up doing document entry and settlement work personally.
- With Ubis
- The work automation system reduces repetitive work such as document entry and settlement preparation. If you join as a joint office, accounting is combined and work is divided among the members.
- 03
Brokers who want to grow their offices through work automation
AX and work automation- Challenge
- Building and operating automation tools yourself takes developers and time, and is hard to do alongside declaration work.
- With Ubis
- You help design and improve the Ubis work automation system. You can co-establish a customs brokerage corporation and hold an equity stake.
- 04
Brokers who need to work from home
Commuting constraints- Challenge
- Even with practical skills, it is hard to apply for a position that requires working full-time at an office if commuting is difficult.
- With Ubis
- If you join as a Licensed Customs Broker employed by Ubis, you prepare declarations, classify goods, and review documents from home without working full-time at the office.
The Ubis foundation
Work automation system
Repetitive work, from preparing declaration documents to settlement, is handled by a system we developed ourselves.
Network of clients and partners
You share the business relationships we have built with importers and exporters, freight forwarders, warehouses, and carriers.
Operations staff
Licensed Customs Brokers, customs clearance staff, technical staff, and operations support staff divide the work.
Know-how by field
We keep in-house manuals for each type of work and have built practical experience in the requirements and tariff classification of fields such as apparel, chemicals, electronics, and machine parts.

Frequently asked questions
Can a newly qualified Licensed Customs Broker collaborate with you?
We consult with you regardless of experience. If your practical experience is short, you can join as a Licensed Customs Broker employed by Ubis, learn declaration work, and then switch to a joint office or a customs brokerage corporation.
How is revenue shared?
For a joint office it is set by the establishment agreement, for a customs brokerage corporation by equity stakes and the work each person handles, and for an employed Licensed Customs Broker by salary and performance pay. Ratios and criteria are set in the interview to fit the collaboration model.
Can I take part in management?
Joint office members and directors of a customs brokerage corporation decide office operations and management policy together. We can also discuss starting as an employed Licensed Customs Broker and later investing as a member to take part in management.
Can an office that is already operating be merged?
You can join as a joint office, or integrate the offices and run them as a customs brokerage corporation. The integration method, member treatment, and equity allocation are set in the interview.
Under which model is working from home possible?
It is possible when you join as a Licensed Customs Broker employed by Ubis. Under the Licensed Customs Broker Act, each office of a joint office or a customs brokerage corporation must have a full-time Licensed Customs Broker.
Is there payment for referring clients?
Under Article 3 (2) of the Licensed Customs Broker Act, we do not make agreements to give or receive payment for referring clients.
