The Korea Customs Service has amended the Notice on Registration and Management of Customs Clearance Codes and Overseas Supplier Codes, effective June 18, 2025. Full introduction begins in 2026 after system improvements.
- Validity period: For those newly issued a code in 2026 or later, the period is 1 year from the issue date. For those issued a code before 2026, the expiration date is their birthday in 2027.
- Renewal: A code that is not renewed within 30 days before or after the expiration date is automatically terminated. Apply through the Korea Customs Service UNI-PASS (unipass.customs.go.kr) or at a customs office.
- Suspension: If there are signs of misuse, the code administrator may suspend use on its own authority.
