How to delegate permission to look up export declaration numbers in the FTA certificate of origin application

To look up an export declaration number in the FTA certificate of origin application, a Licensed Customs Broker needs permission delegated by the exporter (shipper) on the UNI-PASS company records permission settings screen.

Korea Customs Service

The Korea Customs Service has issued guidance on setting company permissions following the improvement of the FTA certificate of origin application. To look up an export declaration number in the certificate of origin application, a Licensed Customs Broker (application agent) must receive permission to look up export information from the exporter (shipper). Without the permission, the message "You do not have permission to look up the export declaration number" is displayed.

  • Permission delegation: On the "My Menu > Service Management > Company Records Permission Settings" screen of the Korea Customs Service electronic customs clearance system (unipass.customs.go.kr), the exporter clicks the Register button, enters the Licensed Customs Broker's information, checks export information for certificate of origin, signature lookup, and approved exporter, and saves.
  • Items to check at registration: When the exporter signs up for UNI-PASS, select trade business (including public institutions) as the business type, and select information lookup and certificate issuance as the service types.
  • Inquiries: UNI-PASS Technical Support Center (1544-1285, dial within Korea; Korea Customs Service English website: https://www.customs.go.kr/english/main.do)
