Frequently asked questions

The cargo owner does not have a customs clearance code. It is applied for on UNI-PASS with a copy of the business registration certificate and a copy of the representative's ID. Ubis can apply with the cargo owner's authorization.

Can urgent cargo arriving on a weekend or at night also be cleared? To clear goods outside customs business hours, the head of the customs office must be notified in advance and a fee must be paid (Customs Act, Article 321). If you tell us the arrival schedule in advance, we handle the advance notification and the declaration together.

Can an import declaration be filed before arrival? Under Article 244 of the Customs Act, goods that need prompt clearance can be declared for import before arrival, and if they are not subject to inspection, the declaration can be accepted before arrival.

Can we receive a referral fee for introducing a cargo owner? No. Article 3(2) of the Licensed Customs Broker Act prohibits both receiving compensation for referring customs clearance work and a customs broker providing or promising money, goods or benefits as such compensation.
